Appearance: Standing at 5’9”, and with quite harsh features, Caroline’s dominant personality is reflected in her appearance. Her hair is reddish brown which makes her shocking blue eyes stand out even more than they would if she was blonde. Obsessed with training and exercise, her body is lean and toned though often hidden behind her medical coat.
Personality: Caroline is hyper-rational and focused on her work. She lacks social skills to the point that jokes and sarcasm as almost always lost on her. She takes her job seriously and will always put it above her own social time. This has given her a disaffection from popular culture.
Powers: Caroline’s powers are based in DNA. When touching something, she can scan and store the information from the subject’s DNA. This means she can quickly tell when a person has an illness or if they are a mutant. This has given her a considerable advantage in her work.
History: Born in Washington DC to parents, Kathy (a criminal profiler) and Patrick (an FBI-agent); Caroline was the second of four children. During their childhoods, a heavy emphasis was put on discipline and justice. Her mother had been an army brat in her own youth and the children were encouraged to serve their country in some way.
When she was thirteen, Caroline went to Georgetown Private Day School where her brother was attending and excelled in sciences. It was while she was here she decided she wanted to go into law enforcement as opposed to the army where her brother was heading. She dedicated her days to books and exercise and became more and more detached from her fellow students. The only person she really spoke to was the son of a family friend - Heath Morgan. The pair skirted around their obvious feelings for each other and never seemed to get it together.
At eighteen, she went to the University of Mississippi to study forensic science. While moving her possessions from home to her dorm, Caroline got involved in a car accident. While she was unharmed, the man in the other car suffered a leg injury. While trying to help him, Caroline touched him and found herself aware that he had cancer but not knowing how she could tell such a thing. She soon realized that this was not a one-off event and she could scan the DNA of living organisms which became helpful in her degree work.
While earning her doctorate, she did an internship with first a CSI unit in Mississippi and then the FBI. After she had got her doctorate, she worked for two years in a CSI unit before finally joining forensic science in the FBI. She was there almost four years where she was hailed as a hard worker. It was here she was re-introduced to Special Agent Alexander Morgan - Heath's brother. The pair dated a year before becoming engaged. The night he popped the question, the couple were leaving a restaurant when Alexander was gunned down and died at the scene.
Two years later when the MRA was passed, Caroline registered without hesitation and was called in a few months later to meet with her superiors. They informed her that they were transferring her to New York to aid the MBI, her powers enabling her to find mutants quickly and establish those with the virus. Though Caroline was not exactly pleased with this, she understood it was that or be sacked completely by the bureau.
She has now been in New York a couple of months on leave and it has come to the point that she has to report to work in the MBI despite how little she wants to. Her scattier younger sister Naomi, recently having left her job, has also come to New York and is living with a less-than-impressed Caroline.
