Personality: Gillian is a great actor. Always acting her part to get a job done. Inside, however, she is full of anger and hate for humans. Even if she is one, herself. She prefers to be by herself and doesn't trust many people, so she doesn't have any close friends and is more of the sort to have one night stands than a lasting relationship. Being raised by a mercenary and seeing as it's her job, Gillian is not above killing. Almost seeming like a heartless woman with no morals.

History: Gillian was born to Sawyer and Christina Forbes on a plane destined for Africa. The timing was unexpected, but the Forbes' took it as a sign that what they were doing was right. Sawyer and Christina were both missionaries trying to bring religion and education to a continent that declared God had left them long ago. Gillian came along on their travels that spanned all over the continent, before they finally settled in Rwanda, building a school to house and educate children who had escaped the war.
Battles were always breaking out, so it was only a matter of time before the Forbes Orphanage was attacked. Gillian was hidden with the other children in a secret cellar, having to plug her ears with her fingers in order to keep out the blast of firearms. Gillian was only five years old, but she listened to the older children and stayed silent, never talking. Not even when everything went silent. It was a couple days before they left the cellar, tired and hungry, but not starving because of the rations of food they equally shared.
It was a military force that found them and let them out of the cellar, amongst them was Gillian's Uncle, Matthew Jones. Instead of being sent to an orphanage in Sierra Leon, Gillian's uncle took her in and cared for her. However, after being rescued, she was unfortunate enough to see her parents bodies right before her uncle swooped her up and took her to the helicopter.
From there, Gillian was treated like a little girl until she was old enough and demanded her Uncle to teach her how to be a soldier. She knew her Uncle was a freelancer, he didn't work for any set military regiment. He was a mercenary and only took the jobs that paid the most money. So, Matthew taught her everything he knew, from hand-to-hand combat to firearms.
It wasn't until she was seventeen that he let her in on the truth. It hadn't been rebels that killed her parents, but a group of anti-mutant supporters. The fact that her parents had been mutants, as well as her Uncle, was surprising in itself, and she was angry for a while that Matthew hadn't told her beforehand. She got over it quickly, though, and started to focus her hate on one group of people rather than another. She might not have been a mutant, but Gillian was one hell of a fighter and skilled gymnast.
Matthew taught her every skill needed for the trade, except for womanly wiles. That was something he just couldn't do, so he brought in an expert. Amelia Kyle, an ex-agent for the Central Intelligence Agency. With both of them, Gillian became one of the best in the field of espionage. Because of this, she was sought after regularly. She made her Uncle proud, but they both knew what she was really doing. Passing the time until she could find the ones responsible for her parents death. She had a name and she'd been searching.
It was a couple years later that she found Stryker at the bottom of Alkali Lake, already dead. This pissed her off to the point that she never passed down a job offer, coming close to death many times, but somehow making it out alive. It was during what was supposed to be a short visit home, that Matthew and Amelia held an intervention. It was awkward, because none of them really knew how to express their feelings. In the end Matthew told her she better take a fucking break or he was going to lock her up in the cellar with grits for every meal.
It was better not to doubt anything Matthew promised, so Gillian took a leave of absence. It was only four months, but she'd managed to find an Island off the coast of Brazil and fuel her anger with margaritas and sex. When she came back 'home', Matthew gave her a job and sent her off to the Middle East.
Life went on as normal. She did odd jobs here and there; someone needed killing, someone needed information... They wrote the check in advance and she proved to be a woman of her word, getting the job done in record time. As a rule, she never killed mutants and because of this her name was thrown around to many of those who carried the X-Gene. If a human demanded a mutant to be taken care of, Gillian took care of the human instead.
Because her birth wasn't recorded, Gillian was most commonly known as Gillian Jones and because of her expertise, the government has never been able to get a photo of her on record and never knew her actual name. Being able to create a new identity so easily, Gillian was able to slip into the MBI during the Legacy outbreak under the alias, Ellis C. Sawyer, her civilian codename made possible by Amelia. Her employer being none other than the mutant menace, Magneto. Gillian only ever met the man once, never asking questions and always doing as told. Usually getting the orders through her Uncle.
Ellis C. Sawyer was an upstanding citizen with duel citizenship. Born in Sacramento, California, but raised in South Africa until she was eighteen and returned to the states. Her parents had died when she was five and she was raised by her aunt, Sarah Kyle (who just so happened to be Amelia's sister). While at first, she was a self defense teacher, Ellis soon joined the Police Academy in Monterey, California. While at the top of her Class, she's known to be a little ditsy and has only ever been assigned to a desk job, much to Gillian's glee.
Even as mutants are waking up, memories lost, Gillian is still working for any information she can get her hands on. Acting like a the cheerful woman, people believe her to be.
