Appearance: Standing at a good six feet, Elvis is musuclar with a build much like a soccer players. He has brown hair that he inherited from his father and set of dark blue/grey eyes that set him apart. Elvis has rather prominant features that have earned him the name 'pretty boy' over the years and his sense of style is jeans, button-up, and vests. With a pair of working boots and either a leather jacket or peacoat. He rather likes his facial hair and thinks he looks childish without it.
Personality: Elvis is rather charming and friendly. His kind heart usually getting him in trouble whether it be with women or with politics. He supports equallity with a passion and has a hard time accepting how people treat his fellow mutants. Once you've earned his trust, you also earn a fierce and loyal friendship.
Powers: Elvis is able to manipulate sound. Taking everyday noises and able to make them as loud or as quiet as he feels. Over the years he has found that he can aim high-pitched frequencies at people with a concussive force, rendering them unconscious and causing their ears to bleed. Through touch, he can render people deaf.
History: Eleanor Kipling had been rather surprised when her best friends whisked her away the night before her wedding, taking her to a concert where she saw her favorite band play. Little did she know that she also had back stage passes as a VIP. Eleanor was aw-stuck. Especially with Steven Vix, the lead guitarist. It didn't take much for her to get into his bed and she barely made it to her wedding when he ravaged her again the next morning.
While Eleanor had always been a rather rebelious girl, she never thought she would cheat on her fiance, Robert. Two months after the wedding, she found out she was pregnant and didn't have the heart to tell Robert it wasn't his child. Instead playing the duitful and happily, expecting wife to her millionaire husband.
Elvis Theodore Pennington Meadows was born on a sunny May morning in 1982. His 'father' knowing right away that the child wasn't his, but Robert didn't treat Elvis any differently nor did he push his wife away. Instead letting her have her way as she hurriedly wanted another child.
Elvis was only ten months old when his sister, Esme, was born. But being so close in age they bonded instantly and became rather inseperable until they got into their teens. Esme was discovering boys and Elvis was discovering his mutation. He was thirteen when his powers manifested themself. During a normal morning breakfast, he had been annoying the hell out of his family by scraping his fork again his plate. Chuckling everytime they cringed.
Elvis dropped his fork in surprise when his mother finally shouted at him to stop it, and the noice of the fork clattering against the plate made all of them grab at their ears in pain. Wide eyed and scared, Elvis fled from the dining room and ran upstairs to hide in his bedroom. It was his father that came in a couple hours later and Elvis was scared that he'd be kicked out. Because that's what happened to Micky Donovan last week when his parents found out he was 'different'.
Instead of being appalled, Robert smiled and started explaining to Elvis that while in the safety of their home it was alright to practice and learn more about his abilities, but if he could help it, maybe not let the outside world know just yet. For his own safety, of course.
Elvis agreed and over the years he worked on controlling his abilites and seeing just how much he could do with them. Also, finding himself graduating Oxford, but deciding to go into the police force instead of his father's business. It was while in the police force that Elvis saw the true cruelty of mutants. And while his collegues seemed to like him enough, they still treated many mutants with unecessary hostility.
He was twenty-three years old when he finally found out about his real father, Steven Vix. Never having questioned his parentage before, he had a bit of an identy crisis and with Robert's help, Elvis got tickets to a concert with a VIP pass. The minute he told Steven his name, the other man smiled with a profound 'ah' and was taken into the dressing room where the two proceeded to have a heart-to-heart.
Steven had known about him, Eleanor had contacted him right before Elvis was born and told him she was pregnant and to stay away. While Steven already had two children with two very different women, it was hard to stay away. He managed to, however, and put a bank account together that he put money into every month since he found out, just as he had done with his girls. Elvis refused the money, but Steven insisted. After that they talked about everything under the sun and Elvis learned about his other sisters and even met them a week later for lunch.
As his job became harder, Elvis was encouraged by both sides of his family to quit and take a holiday. And at twenty-six, Elvis decided to leave the London Police and to move to America, just as things were getting bad. Keeping to himself during the Legacy Virus, he worked on opening up a private detective agency in Brooklyn. However, his building caught fire and he's been working odd jobs here and there ever since from his home, becoming more of a grifter than a PI.
