Name: Remy Sweet
Alias: Wolfe
Age/DOB: Twenty-eight | April 12th, 1984
Hometown: Royal City, Washington.
Family:
Joseph Sweet - Father
Zoey Sweet – Mother
Opal Sweet – Eldest sister
Harry Sweet – Older brother
Victor Sweet – Younger brother
Appearance: Standing at 5’8”, Remy has a very thin and very lanky frame, which looks delicate to the human eye. Nonetheless, Remy could be described as anything but ‘delicate’. She dresses in a very smart manner, always with heels, and she tends to lean towards outfits done in blacks, whites, and grays, with the occasional pop of color.
Personality: Sarcastic, Remy tends to have a very dry sense of humor. She rolls her eyes so often that growing up her mother insisted that her eyes would get stuck that way. So far, that hasn’t happened. Having a thirst for knowledge, Remy often has a book in her hand and is known to enroll in various college classes just for ‘fun’.
Powers: Remy has the ability to transform into a wolf at will, but is also forced into a transformation during a full moon. When she transforms at her own free will, Remy remains conscience of her actions and memories while being the wolf, though when the transformation is forced upon her (i.e. during a full moon), she has a harder time keeping control of her brain and not allowing the ‘wolf’ to take over.
History: Growing up in Royal City, Washington, Remy Sweet spent most of her spare time in her mother’s ballet school, where the former professional ballerina taught a wide variety of students who ranged in a variety of ages. She was decent at ballet; though it was her older sister Opal who really took to the dance and went onto have a career in the dancing field.
When Remy was thirteen, she had her very first transformation into a wolf. While most mutants were shocked, surprised, even scared by the arrival of the mutant powers, Remy knew it was coming. Her parents were mutants, her older siblings were mutants, her younger sibling would become a mutant, and all of her relatives were mutants. (Well apart from her paternal Aunt Amy, but she was never really discussed about.) And, they all shared the ability to turn into wolves. It merely seemed to be a phase of her life; something that was expected in the Sweet family, liking getting your driver’s license when you turned 16 or having your first (legal) glass of alcohol when you turned 21.
However, Remy wasn’t exactly like her parents and siblings before her. She was excited for her powers, of course; loved the feeling of running through the woods in her transformed state. But she also saw her powers as an opportunity to get out of her hometown. Like a child wanting to attend a boarding school, Remy had the urge to attend Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters, a private school and safe haven for mutants, located in New York.
It took a lot of persuading on Remy’s behalf, for her parents to allow their youngest daughter to attend. In fact, it included an entire presentation complete with a poster board and dramatic reenactment, aided by her siblings. After persisting so passionately and for so long, Joseph and Zoey Sweet finally enrolled their youngest daughter at Xavier’s.
Remy enjoyed her time at Xavier’s. She thrived in the Danger Room, excelled in her studies, and loved being around other mutants that didn’t turn into wolves. Remy simply fell in love with the way of life at Xavier’s, and though she was one of the rare students who went home for holidays and summer vacations, she was always eager to return to her studies and friends.
Of course, all good things have to come to an end. Remy graduated top of the small class at Xavier’s Institute, and decided to return to Washington to attend college, in order to be closer to her siblings, parents, and extended family. Attending the University of Washington, Remy did well in her studies. Her time at Xavier’s had inspired her to become a teacher, despite how cheesy that sounded, her subject of course being chemistry.
After graduating from college, Remy had planned to return to Xavier’s as a teacher, but instead Remy found herself teaching at a school near her hometown of Royal City. Having been away from her family for so long, which had expanded as her older siblings had wed and had children of their own. With the events of Alcatraz Island occurring, as well as other issues that the X-Men faced, Remy stayed put; torn between wanting to help out and respecting her parents’ wishes to keep their daughter safe.
In the fall of 2011, however, Remy’s initial plan finally was set into place. Once more she left her parent’s behind in favor of teaching chemistry at Xavier’s Institute. She has been living and teaching at Xavier’s ever since, returning to her family in Seattle only for holidays and summer vacations, much like when Remy had been a student at the very same Institute.
During the memory loss and the attack upon Xavier, Remy had been abroad in Italy, where the Sweet family had taken an extended Christmas vacation, a gift that Zoey and Joseph had given to their children and grandchildren due to the holiday.
