Full name: Emma Grace Frost.
Alias: the White Queen.
Age: Thirty-Four.
Birthday: July 25th.
Hometown: Boston, Massachusetts.
Appearance: Standing at 5’8”, Emma is a blonde bombshell of a beauty. And yes, if anyone asks, the hair color is natural. Her blue eyes lean along the hazel side, while her body is the best money can buy. Being in the public eye, Emma’s dress sense is nothing less than perfect. Crisp white outfits fill her closet, with the only color accenting her wardrobe being those of the blue, grey, and black families.
Personality: The term “cold hearted bitch” first comes to mind, when dealing with Emma Frost. Despite how harsh it sounds, it’s terribly accurate. Emma judges people solely on their looks, when it comes to first impressions. She can be snobby, rude, and just downright mean. And that, is only when you meet her physical standards. Her attitude is that of a rich spoiled brat, but for Emma it can go so much deeper than that. For her entire life she has been given anything she wanted, and for the most part, has never truly had to experience feelings of want and disappointment. Emma views herself in almost a narcisstic way. She feels that she is the best thing around, and can be matched by no one. This has caused her friend list to be minimal due to the fact that no one really wants to socialize with someone who thinks their better than anyone else is, and Emma refuses to lower her standards for anyone. Her trust can be earned, but only those who prove themselves worthy will gain Emma’s respect.
Cold, calculating and intelligent, Emma yearns for information. Whether through deceitful intentions or business relations, Emma Frost is a genuine student in the world. When she doesn’t speak, she listens; even if she makes it seem like the interest is not there. Of course because Emma is a heartless bitch, doesn’t mean she lacks any real human emotion. Emma still feels hurt like anyone else, and can be moved by an emotional situation. The difference is that Emma truly doesn’t usually know how to react to emotion, as she wasn’t raised with it. The habit of lumping all negative emotions under the title of “Emma isn’t happy” causes her to resort to her default response for unhappiness; “throw a tantrum until you get your way.”
Powers:
Telepathy; along with broadcasting and receiving thoughts, Emma has the ability of mind control, altering perceptions and memories, and the ability to cause mental pain or unconsciousness. However, the latter of these abilities are on the small scale. They can only last so long, before Emma looses consciousness herself, or gains a nosebleed.
Diamond Form; Emma can transform her body into a flexible organic diamond form. When in this form, she must transform all parts of her body, rather than selective areas. When rendered unconscious, her body automatically transforms back into its normal state. Superhuman strength, stamina, and durability, are also side effects of her diamond form. Emma has the ability to lift almost two tons, and she can withstand temperature extremes. Also, she does not require food, water, or oxygen. Emma however, cannot access her telepathic abilities when in this form.
History:
WARNING! CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR THE WOLVERINE ORGINS MOVIE.
Born into the infamous Frost family, Emma was the second of three daughters, and third born to Winston and Hazel Frost. The dynamics of Emma’s family life played a profound role in shaping her future goals, along with personality. Her father was a domineering figure who set impossibly high standards for not only his children, but all around him. He was cold, ruthless and unflinchingly demanding of his family. Support, encouragement and gestures of love were things rarely shown towards his children. Emma’s mother on the other hand, was a fragile woman who dealt (or arguably didn’t deal with) the tensions in her marriage and household by numbing herself on prescription drugs. Adrienne was the eldest daughter. Ambitious, beautiful, and vain, she was constantly scheming to be seen in her father’s favor… and fortune. Cordelia was the rebellious baby, willing to do what ever it took to win a little of her father’s attention, no matter who might of gotten hurt as a result. And then there was Kayla Silverfox, the adopted daughter that was the result of Winston Frost doing a publicity stunt, after his wife’s addiction problems were mistakenly revealed to the world. Kayla was a few years older than Emma, and far more closer in age to Adrienne, but nonetheless it was Kayla that Emma grew found of; grew close to. The pair was almost unseparable at the hip.
As a teenager, Emma tried to reason with her father. She did the things he asked of, to the best of her ability. It wasn’t due to a desire for personal gain, so much as from a need for a normal teenage existence. She achieved academic success and thus also received praise from her teacher, Ian Kendall, on whom she had an immense crush. It was also through Mr. Kendall that inspired Emma to pursue a career in teaching. Naturally her father was infuriated by the very idea. Blaming Ian Kendall on the career path Emma had chosen, Winston promptly had the man fired through his various connections, along with position on the school board.
It was this even that caused Emma to really wake up and see the deceit and manipulations of her father and sisters. She had finally become a target for their malicious power plays, something she detested greatly. Not wanting to take a back seat, Emma opted to fight back. She discovered her father’s affairs and blackmailed him, along with exposed Adrienne’s secret modeling career and more. Adrienne in turn, revealed not only Emma’s mutant ability to turn her skin into organic diamond, but Kayla’s mutant powers as well, to the family friend William Stryker, who often talked of mutants. It wasn’t long before both Kayla and Emma disappeared. Adrienne knew Stryker had something to do with it, but she kept shut. Suspicion instead fell on various people from business associates of Winston’s, to Mr. Kendall. Nonetheless, the two young girls remained unfound.
Emma was kept prisoner at Three Mile Island with other mutants around her age for nearly two years. While others were experimented on, Emma remained untouched. For two years she remained at the power plant, not knowing if Kayla was alive or dead. They had been separated upon Stryker finding out her adopted sister’s gifts, and unknown to Emma, Kayla had made a deal with Stryker. If Kayla worked for him, then Emma would be kept alive and then if plans went as expected, both Emma and Kayla would be released. Of course if they spoke word to anyone of who had kidnapped them and the going ons at Three Mile Island, they would be dead.
When Emma turned sixteen, Kayla returned to the power plant, and with the help of Wolverine the captive mutants were all released. One of which, was Scott Summers. Through a series of events, Kayla was separated from the rest of the fleeing mutants, despite Emma’s protests to remain with her sister. The captives managed to make it to the edges of the island, where waiting was not only a helicopter, but Professor Charles Xavier. Leaving her sister behind, Emma went to Westchester, New York. She remained at the Xavier Institute for nearly a year, working to control not only her diamond skin power, but the telepathy that emerged as well. It was during that time that she grew closer to Scott who had taken the codename Cyclops. The pair became good friends; something Emma always wished would be more. Nonetheless Scott has his eyes set on Jean Grey, and with Emma growing tired of all the little love triangle, she left the Institute as soon as she had the diploma in her hand in hopes of attending college. Her parents, whom Emma had maintained contact with upon her arrival at the Institute, agreed to pay for college. They assumed she had been attending a prepatory school, needing a break after the vague kidnapping story that Emma had fed them.
She left college with both a degree in Business and Finance along with one in Electronic Engineering, and her four-year old investments having done quite well. Selling all of her stocks, she placed the money into her savings account, before deciding to full time climb the economic ladder. Emma used her telepathy to obtain various invitations to parties and events, in order to mingle with some of the richest and most successful businessmen New York had to offer. The girl used not only her mind, but body as well in order to develop a fortune. Using the skills of being stationed in a higher social class, Emma swiftly maneuvered the stock market, and quickly began to rise to distinction in the wealthy social circles. Emma found herself nearing the status of millionaire, only two years after graduation. It was also during this time that she received word of her father passing away. Emma attended the funeral only because her mother begged for her attendance. During the reading of the will, everyone was yet again stunned that Winston Frost had left his daughter, whom he referred to as his “Favorite little creation”, over ninety percent of his massive fortune, including Frost Real Estate, Inc. Only five percent, including the family home, was left to his wife, while a measly one percent of his net worth went to his other children. Emma opted to have her father’s Vice-President run the company, while she took on the title and millions that came with being chief executive officer.
Only in her mid twenties, Emma was deemed as socialite around the country. She was a regular in the tabloids and earned the nickname “the White Queen” due to her cold-hearted personality, and favor of white clothing. Her life was a real life fairy tale, but not every fairy tale has a “happily ever after” ending. Emma had also become a well-known bitch around the world. If the tabloids didn’t catch her slapping her assistances around, then they caught her in even more embarrassing acts. Although a business goddess, Emma was still young and believed that everything in the world was in her grasps. All she had to do was squeeze hard enough to get it.
Throughout the years, she continued to wonder where the hell Kayla had ended up. Every time the X-Men made the news, Emma had the urge to return to the Institute, to at least check in on old friends, and if not offer support. But at the same time, due to her public image Emma knew it would be risky. The last thing she needed was her mutant identity to be made public. Instead she remained quiet, just living her life and maintaining a high socialite title. She continued to work, party and play, and overall just have a good time. When the virus broke out, Emma did her best to remain out of the spotlight even more so. However when the MRA was passed, Emma grew nervous. Finally, after remaining out of the spotlight for so long, Emma has decided to return to the Xavier Institute, unknown of the suspected death of Scott Summer’s death, as well as Jean Grey’s.
