Personality: Often seen as the hyper-active and girly one of her friends, Valerie does indeed have some rather typical girly aspects to her personality. Easily exciteable and with a love for all things wedding-y, Val can come across as rather ditzy until you get to know her. Under the Barbie exterior, Valerie can be incredibly serious, able to focus well and be a cutthroat bitch when required.
Powers: Is first and foremost telekinetic but also has an odd power of producing bubble-like orbs of energy that can be used either as a weapon or as a visual aid for her telekinesis.
History: Valerie was born on the 15th May as the second child of Sarah and Robert Wright. Born into affulence, her father worked in government and her mother ran a luxurious five-star hotel. Valerie was a suprise child, eleven years her sister Hannah's junior, which meant she was often left to her own devices and expected to be incredibly grown up. This was no problem for Valerie who reaped in the awards of good behaviour with several ponies and designer clothes.
Valerie was nine when Hannah married Luke, setting up home in a town a little while away from her own. Their wedding was what started Valerie's obsession with all things bridal and she would often dress up in her lilac bridesmaids dress when bored at home. Luke and Hannah were perfect for each other and Luke got on well with all of the Wrights, spoiling Valerie everytime she came over. Even despite the large age difference and living apart, Valerie and Hannah remained close, becoming best friends as well as sisters.
In 1990, aged eleven, Valerie became an aunt for the first time on the birth of Luke and Hannah's first child - a girl named Audrey. Valerie enjoyed playing mother so much to her niece that Hannah found a willing babysitter in her little sister and trusted her completely with Audrey. It was when Valerie was thirteen and babysitting Audrey that her powers manifested. The two-year old had been coughing an almight strop and Valerie found herself unable to hold Audrey as well as her dinner and toy. Willing the dropped toy to come back up to eye-level, Valerie was shocked beyond belief when the toy did just that, hovering infront of them.

Though the Wrights had no idea what was going on, they were highly supportive of their daughter even when Luke did some research and they came to the conclusion that she must be a mutant. Taking this in her stride, Valerie worked on her new ability, delighted when she discovered the bubble-aspect to them and gave little shows to her niece.
On turning fourteen, Valerie was expected to go to the same boarding school as Hannah had and was shipped of to Washington DC to get the best education money could buy. Here she roomed with Lea Waldorf, who quickly became her best friend. The pair shared everything from their interests to their secrets and it seemed that the school's golden pair would be Best Friends Forever. That was until Jason Stackson had appeared on the scene. Valerie had been dating him, if you could really call it that, for a couple of months and been elevated to the role of Queen amongst her peers. She was ecstatic. And then, something had happened. Suddenly Jason was going to the prom with Lea and they were crowned Prom King and Queen. The golden friendship had gone sour.
Graduating, Valerie never made up with Lea or forgave her for the backstabbing act and threw herself into her education. Attending university in New York, Valerie became an aunt again in 1999. Her nephew James was the first boy born in a long time and every Wright from far and wide came to see the little chubby baby boy and coo over him. Valerie fell in love with being an aunt all over again and spent her time between college and watching Audrey and James.
While in college, Valerie proved that her bimbo status was a misconception when a group of computer geeks took her under their wing and she became one of the best hacker and programmers they had in their crew. Initially, Link and Valerie had had a tense relationship, founded on mutual dislike, but slowly they formed an understanding that developed into a close friendship. Valerie's relationship with Jack bloomed from initial attraction to her falling completely in love with her boss, despite how inappropriate this was. However, there was no time at all for Valerie to win Jack round as, aged twenty-six, Valerie's life was turned upside down with no input of her own.
Her parents, sister and brother-in-law had all been killed in a car crash, leaving Valerie as the sole guardian of the three young children Hannah and Luke had left behind. Forced to face up to her responsibilities, Val left UNIT and returned to New Jersey to live with her aunt Marge and raise her sister's children. Falling into an uneasy engagement with David, Valerie began to crumble. She was missing Jack and Link and unable to cope with the responsibility of Audrey, James and Sarah's childhoods. David either didn't see, or ignored, her slow breakdown but even back at UNIT it was clear Valerie couldn't handle this change. She would phone Jack every night, leaving hysterical messages.

After a battle at Washington where a UNIT member was lost, Jack called a disband and Valerie returned to her family.
Unsure of what else to do in this environment, Valerie got involved with David again and tried to be a good parent to the kids. Link had discovered she was pregnant by a clinically depressed Jack and it seemed that without UNIT they were all crumbling. Finally settling into some kind of routine, Valerie was forced to leave her family when she started recieving threats from a place known as the ARC. Desperate to save her family, she sold herself and her friends up the river and they were all captured by the ARC and imprisoned.
As Jack was tortured, and Link too weakened by her pregnancy, Valerie realised it was down to her to get them out of the situation she blamed herself for and eventually she was able to take control of the ARC's computer system. As the building caught fire, Valerie told Jack to leave her in the building and escape with Link but he refused and the three of them made it out alive, staying at Xavier's mansion, where Valerie had once been undercover, to heal.
Link soon gave birth to a daughter by the name of Isabel and Jack proposed, reigniting Valerie's love for all things wedding. Finding herself in a good place, Valerie began to work out reclaiming guardianship of her sister's children and finally became the parent to them her sister had always wanted. With Audrey about to leave for college, Valerie took only James and Sarah to live with her and quickly became aware that the apartment they were living in was simply not big enough for the three of them.
While taking Sarah to school each day, Valerie was slowly becoming closer to her niece's teacher, Ennis Cooper. He was sweet natured and had had a pretty messed up love life and seemed to understand and accept Val as she was. Initially keeping the relationship quiet, Valerie eventually introduced him to her friends, being rather dissapointed when it became clear that Ennis and Jack would not be getting along anytime soon.
They hadn't known each other for very long at all when Valerie bought a house near Jack and Link in Peekskill and asked Ennis to move in. Though it rather went against his cautious nature, Ennis agreed and the pair set up home together with James and Sarah. When Ennis broached the subject of marriage as something to consider in the future, Valerie decided they shouldn't wait and gave them two weeks to pull a wedding together.
Not telling anyone of their plans until they were in DisneyWorld, there was a flurry of activity to get everyone to Florida in time for the wedding on Valentine's Day 2009. The engagement ring had been bought en route, as had the bridesmaid dresses and Valerie had donned Hannah's dress for the big day that went without a hitch despite how quickly it had been organised.
On returning home, the pair immediately began trying for a baby, despite the uncertain future of Ennis' job as his school was shut due to the Legacy Virus outbreak. Two months after their wedding, Valerie discovered that she was infact pregnant and when Ennis' school reopened, she decided to fulfill her high school dream and started a wedding planning business.
While in the city, meeting clients, Valerie was to meet Isaac Wilson, whom she was drawn to for his resemblence of Jack. This later proved to be because the pair were half-brothers, unaware of the other's existence. The meeting had caused a crisis of faith in Valerie towards her marriage, and for the first time she began to doubt her rash decision to marry the man she had hardly known.

The snow outside made it impossible for an ambulance to get through, she was forced to give birth to her son at the house with a drunk Jack passed out downstairs. The boy was healthy and she named him Oliver Jackson James. Oliver's arrival reaffirmed Valerie's faith in her marriage and she became insanely happy.
In April 2010, she was approached by the prestigious Darmonte family to plan a wedding, making her one of the most sought-after wedding planners in New York. This one endorsement has grossly boosted her business and income.
In September 2010, Valerie discovered she was pregnant again despite having not planned to have another child so soon. The nature of her traumatic birth left the baby deaf but Valerie still found her the most beautiful creature and she and Ennis named her Daisy Emma May.
Like many mutants, Valerie was affected by the Onslaught attack that wiped a year of memories from her life. During this missing year, Valerie was subject to a police investigation that looked at her hacking past. Unwilling to register as a mutant and face prejudice, she took off with her children in tow. Ennis was arrested for refusing to co-operate with the police and is currently in prison. Sarah and James are safe in Marge's custody, though are under 24 hour surveillance.
