Birth Name: Silver Fox (Siksí'ksskim Máóhkataatoyi in Blackfoot Indian)
Legal Name: Kayla Silverfox
Alias: Silver Fox
Birthday: February 17th
Hometown: The Rockies, Canada
Current Occupation: Unemployed.
Appearance: Silver stands at 5'7" with an athletic build. Her hair is black with a slight wave while her eyes are bright blue. She almost always wears Native American jewellery and dresses in business-like clothing.
Personality: Originally very sweet, Silver Fox has been hardened by her experiences and is now quite guarded towards those she doesn't know - often coming across rather cold. However, once she feels she knows a person - she opens up, revealing her softer and more vulnerable side.
Powers: Pre-Team X, Silver Fox had the power of tactile telepathy/hypnosis, that allowed her to influence those she touched. After becoming one of Stryker's experiments, she kept this power but also gained Sabretooth's healing factor and bone claws from her fingernails. Unlike Sabretooth's, however, Silver's retract back to an almost unnoticeable position.
History: Born Silver Fox in a small Blackfoot tribe up in the Canadian Rockies - Silver's parents always said she was 'blessed' by Old Man who would give her the skills to protect herself. Although she did not know it then, her parents seemed to have realised that she would become a mutant like her father, who had the power she would later develop. When Silver Fox was eight though, tragedy struck when her parents were killed in a bid for power from another tribe.
Eight years old and orphaned, Silver Fox found the village turning their back on her, scared that they would be killed if they took her in. Luckily for her though, back in Boston the Frost family were facing scandal after Hazel Frost's drug abuse became known. Desperate to boost his family's image - Winston Frost went looking for a gimmick to get the public back on side. What he came back with was Silver Fox - whom he'd adopted from the Rockies and brought back to raise with his own daughters, Adrienne, Cordelia and Emma. He renamed her Kayla, making her unusual birth name into a surname, rather than giving her the Frost name.
Kayla grew up as the rest of the Frosts, forming a close bond with Emma. When Kayla was fifteen, Mr Frost threatened to send the rebelling teen to boarding school abroad. Upset about the idea of being separated from her sister, Kayla begged their father not to make her go - clinging to his arms as she followed him round the kitchen. He changed his mind in a heartbeat and soon Kayla began to realise she could influence people when she touched them. She kept her gift a secret from everyone but Emma, whose own mutation soon manifested itself.
When she fell out with Emma, Adrienne decided to take revenge by revealing Emma's mutation to her father's business associate and family friend, William Stryker who often spoke about mutants when he was round. Adrienne didn't really realise what Stryker was planning and soon regretted her actions when Emma and Kayla disappeared. They had been kidnapped by Stryker for experimentation, but when he realised what Kayla's powers were, Stryker devised a new plan for her. Making a deal that meant Emma was released if she did as she was told, Kayla was sent back to the Rockies.
Her orders were to find a man named James Howlett (now known as Logan) and make him fall in love with her using her powers. What happened when she found him, though, was that Kayla actually did fall in love with him and grew to like her life working as a primary school teacher.
After a couple of years though, Stryker decided that Kayla's mission had been successful and started the second phase. When Logan informed her that Stryker had been to see him, she knew she would soon have to break his heart and the only thing that stopped her from warning him was the thought of Emma locked up on Three Mile Island. Sabretooth came to find her and Kayla had no choice but to be injected with a drug that would slow her heart rate to near death and trick Logan into believing his brother murdered her. A few hours later, Stryker returned and took Kayla to Alkali Lake where she would be expected to stay until Logan was turned into Weapon X and began working for Stryker.
However, Logan escaped before he agreed to work for Stryker and Kayla was moved to Three Mile Island where Stryker continued his experiments. Kayla herself became an experiment - being given Sabretooth's powers that enabled her to heal, slowed her aging and caused bone claws to form from her fingernails. She was going through this process as Logan tried to track down Sabretooth and had only just recovered when he made it to Three Mile Island. Here she revealed that she had been working for Team X all along, but only to save her sister - insisting she had truly loved Logan.
Logan eventually believed her, and the two made to escape, freeing the mutants Stryker had locked up on the Island - including Emma. However, the sisters reunion was short lived as Kayla (injured with a bullet wound) decided to go back for Logan, who was fighting with Sabretooth against Weapon XI. Emma, leading the freed mutants, managed to escape and Kayla made it to Logan's side, only to collapse due to blood loss. As Logan tried to carry her to safety, he was shot by Stryker with adamantium bullets and Kayla believed he had died. When Stryker came to finish her in the same way, Kayla used her final strength to turn her powers on him - forcing him to walk away from the Island until his feet bled. After this, Kayla lost conciousness, and appeared to have died. When Logan woke up, having lost his memory - he saw what he presumed was her corpse and she was left laying in the dirt as the emergency services arrived.
However, slowly Sabretooth's powers began to heal her, forcing the bullet out of her side and reviving her in the ambulance to the shock of the paramedics. She felt no joy in her miracle recovery, though, wrongly believing Logan was dead and having no idea about what had become of her sister. Things did not improve either when Stryker was picked up for the murder of the general, and pinned the entire thing on Kayla, blaming her powers for his actions. Kayla, as well as Sabretooth, who had been recovered from the rubble, were thrown into jail where she learned that Logan had in fact, survived, and escaped the Island.
At about this time, the mutant terrorist group HYDRA were reforming and their first large-scale mission was to break into Alkali Lake where Stryker had the mutants detained. They broke most of the mutants out, including Kayla and Sabretooth and, when HYDRA promised her they would search for Logan, Kayla signed up.
The next years of her life were spent searching in vain for Logan, who seemed to have disappeared after leaving the Island, and working for HYDRA under her alias, even if she did disagree with their methods. Proving to be an efficient soldier, Silver Fox soon rose through the ranks eventually becoming head of her division. However, her stint in this position was short lived. She had only been head of the division a few months when Magneto decided to launch his attack on the Alcatraz facility and her members showed enthusiasm to join him. Silver refused, knowing the mission would be suicidal but her soldiers didn't see it that way and rebelled against her. She managed to escape with her life, but has been hunted by them since fleeing and now keeps a low profile in New York - very aware that if HYRDA were to get wind of her whereabouts - they would come after her.
When trying to flee the country when news of the virus spread, Silver was arrested and handed over to MBI where they are trying to strike a deal to get her to work for them.
