Appearance: Standing at five feet and six inches, Laura is of average height and weight. Nonetheless minimal fat is on her body, due to rigorous work outs, and she has a fairly lean, yet muscular form. Wearing mostly dark, muted tones, Laura takes on a usual gothic inspired fashion choices. Chokers, corsets, pendants, leather, boots and fishnet stockings are all a staple in her wardrobe, though she is often commonly seen in more simple clothes, such as dark tank tops and jeans.
Personality: Laura is very taciturn and usually quiet, only speaking when she is spoken to or when she has something indispensable to say. She is anti-social and usually plays the part of the wallflower in any situation. Due to her training she has adopted questionable morals and takes a ‘kill or be killed’ sort of approach to any situation. The world, to Laura, is one big game of survival of the fittest, and she wants to be the last one standing. Nonetheless when Laura does care for an individual, she is fiercely loyal to them, and does all in her power to insure their safety.
A bit rough around the edges, she uses that to cover up her emotional vulnerability but it is also a result of many years of self-imposed loneliness, although no one will ever hear her say so. She’s prone to statying the obviously, making clipped observant remarks, telling everything like it is, and running from her problems. Usually Laura is very serious, but when she does crack the occasional joke, it is usually morbid and very few understand her sense of humor.
Powers: When Laura was seven years old, she was exposed to high amounts of radiation, in order to speed up the process of her mutation manifesting. Upon the extraction of her bone claws, (two for each hand, and one for each foot), they were swiftly coated in adamentium. Every time she uses her claws, it causes her skin to tear and bleed but that is quickly taken care of by the regenerative healing factor, that she also has. This allows her to heal at, obviously a quickened rate as well as the ability to be immune to most chemicals and drugs. Laura has superhuman senses, stamina, agility and reflexes, and durability. Due to her extensive training as a top-secret operative, Talon is a master of multiple forms of martial arts, and is an expert in assassination techniques.
History: Laura Kinney’s birth was far from conventional. In fact, it could hardly be called a birth at all, and instead somewhat of an experimentation. For the first critical developmental years of her life, she was known simply as X-23; a gene pool made up of the two mutants known as Wolverine and Silverfox, both who had previously undergone experimentation with Weapon X. Trained as an assassin since birth, killing was her only purpose. She was conditioned to respond to a ‘trigger’ scent, a liquid that once she smells, sends her on a murderous rampage that results in death of anyone that comes in contact with her. Laura was raised as the daughter of Sarah Kinney, one of the doctors at a newly created Weapon X facility. Despite not sharing any similar biological traits, Sarah raised Laura as her own, providing some humanity in the cold hearted, trained assassin. In fact it was Sarah, due to feeling guilt for her involvement with Laura’s brainwashing, that planned and initiated an escape plan. However her mother had previously come in contact with the trigger scent, and Laura ultimately killed her.
After escaping the facilty, Laura travelled around. Eventually she stumbled upon Sarah’s sister and niece in San Fransisco and Laura stayed there for a small stint of time. Nonetheless, Laura opted to stay on the move, just in case anyone from Weapon X ever did catch up to her. Heading east, she found herself in New York City, and shortly after Laura’s arrival she began working as a prostitute for a drug dealer as well as a pimp by the name of Zebra Daddy who is also a drug dealer. Always knowing that her genes had come from two mutants by the names of Wolverine and Silverfox it has only been recent that Laura has considered tracking one, if not both of them down. Nonetheless this plan has remained in its contemplation stage, and no action has been taken to track either mutant down.
In New York, Laura has made various odd friendships. Her circle of friends includes a runaway from a cult, a religious southerner, and a crazy whore who really loves her dolly a bit too much.
After being in the city for months, Laura began searching for the mutant known as Sabretooth. With him, they plotted not only the murder of Wolverine but herself as well.
